Mediaworkstations presented an extremely unusual device, which can formally be called a laptop, because it is a computer with a built-in display and keyboard, but in fact, the new product called a-XP looks more like a classic system unit of a personal computer, into one of the walls of which a screen was embedded, and even and screwed the keyboard to it.
The device is positioned as a super-powerful mobile workstation. However, its mobility is quite relative, as the a-XP weighs 13 kg. The model is based on the most powerful AMD processors of the Threadripper family, including the world’s most powerful 64-core desktop chip – the monstrous Threadripper 3990X.
This chip delivers a base clock speed of 2.9 GHz and is capable of overclocking to 4.3 GHz. The processor can process up to 128 instruction streams simultaneously. The A-XP can be equipped with up to 256 GB of RAM in eight 32 GB modules. And you can also install two video cards here at once. The maximum configuration of the novelty will cost buyers $ 46,615. And last week Xiaomi launched a smart home aquarium.
