by As promised earlier, today the Bolt service launched an electric scooter rental in Kiev. To use the electric scooter rental service, you need to update the Bolt car call app to the latest version (Google Play and App Store).
After updating the app, you need to go to the scooter and scan its QR code. You can pay for the rental of a vehicle by bank transfer. The app also contains instructions for the safe use of the electric scooter.
The cost of such rental includes the price for unlocking and a minute of use. The cost of unlocking the electric scooter will be UAH 29, and a minute of travel – UAH 4.90. The user will also be able to rent a scooter for the whole day at a special bargain price – 600 UAH.
“All over the world, users choose light, comfortable and environmentally friendly modes of transport. They allow you to solve the problem of the “last mile” and in a few minutes get from the metro to work or home.
The testing of the project took place on the territory of the Kiev innovation park UNIT.City and aroused great interest. The test period was successful and now we are ready to launch this service throughout the city, ”comments Bolt Regional Manager Taras Potichny.
It will be possible to find an electric scooter in the center of Kiev: near metro stations, parks and the most visited locations in the city. The first rental locations can be found at Pochtovaya Square, Independence Square, Bessarabskaya Square, Golden Gate and Mariinsky Park. After the ride, the scooter can be parked in safe places, which are marked on the map in the app. If the user leaves the scooter outside the designated areas, he will be fined.
All scooters are equipped with GPS-navigators to obtain data on the places of their unlocking and parking. Bolt employees will drive scooters to designated charging areas every morning. Due to the pandemic, all electric scooters will undergo regular disinfection. Users of the new service are also advised to use sanitizers and disposable gloves.
The project partner is Venbest. She will provide constant security for all electric scooters and monitor compliance with rental rules in cooperation with the National Police of Kiev.
Bolt electric scooter rental is currently available in 10 countries and more than 30 cities in Europe.
