Sony is preparing to release a new model of wireless headphones WH-1000XM4, which will receive some improvements over its predecessor. Thanks to the leak of a promotional video, we can already familiarize ourselves with the main functions and capabilities of this device.

In terms of design, the new model is very similar to the previous version. Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones are equipped with 40mm hybrid speakers, slightly modified controls and noise canceling function. Thanks to the Sony DSEE Extreme software, the user will be able to improve the sound depending on the genre of music and the type of instrument. Also mentioned is support for surround mode and personalized sound settings based on the user’s location. The headphones support the ability to use virtual assistants Alexa and Google Assistant.

The battery life is announced at 30 hours. With support for fast charging via USB Type-C, in just 10 minutes, the earbuds replenish enough charge to play music for 5 hours. Additionally, the Wearing Detection function is mentioned. It automatically pauses and resumes music playback when the user takes off or puts on the headphones. And the playback is automatically paused when the user starts a conversation with someone. Playback automatically resumes after 30 seconds.

The official announcement of Sony WH-1000XM4 wireless headphones is expected on August 6.
