Sony has introduced the new WH-1000XM4 full-size active noise canceling headphones. This is the development of the top line of the manufacturer. Previous models are deservedly considered one of the best in their class, and the new product, judging by the first reviews, raises the bar even higher.

Externally, the model has not changed, but in terms of features, there are several important improvements. First, it became possible to work simultaneously with two sound sources. That is, the WH-1000XM4 can quickly switch, for example, from a smartphone to a PC or home audio system.

The second major change is the arrival of a new sensor that detects if headphones are on. With it, music playback is automatically paused when you record them. The sensor itself is located right in the left cup.

Also Sony WH-1000XM4 features new and better microphones. Now, when receiving calls from a smartphone, the interlocutor will hear you much better, the manufacturer assures. For connection, Bluetooth 5.0 is used, and for pairing, you can use NFC.

The same Q1N chip is responsible for the noise canceling function, but the system for filtering ambient sounds has become more legible. Traditional transparency and external sound enhancement functions are also present.

In terms of autonomy, 30 hours of operation are declared. The USB-C port is used for recharge. 10 minutes of charging will be enough for 5 hours of listening to music. Sony WH-1000XM4 price was 350 dollars (≈25 600 thousand rubles). There is no information about the timing of the appearance of headphones in Russia.
