In an interview with TASS, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that the serial production of the first Russian electric car Zetta should begin in Togliatti at the end of the year.
According to him, the company needed additional investments in the project in the amount of 100 million rubles. The issue of allocating funds should be considered by the expert council of the Industrial Development Fund at the end of August.

According to the minister, to date, the WMI code has been received, which determines the status of the automaker, pre-production electric vehicles have been assembled, the stage of car certification has been completed by 70%. Pilot assembly is in progress.
The Zetta is a compact three-door electric car. The maximum speed of the electric car is 120 km / h. The cost in the basic configuration will be 450 thousand rubles.
