Samsung held a presentation on Unpacked, in which the new flagship smartphones Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra were presented. Almost all information about the devices leaked to the Network even before the announcement, so the manufacturer had only to confirm it.
The base Galaxy Note20 comes with a 6.7-inch FHD + 60Hz flat panel display. At the top of its screen, there is a small hole for a 10MP selfie camera with Dual Pixel technology.
An Exynos 990 or Snapdragon 865+ is installed inside, depending on the version. The amount of RAM is 8 GB, and the built-in memory is 256 GB. Battery capacity —4 300 mAh. There is fast charging via USB Type-C port.
The main camera includes three modules: the main 12 megapixel camera with 1.8 μm pixels, a 12 megapixel wide-angle camera (1.4 μm and 120˚), and a 64 megapixel telephoto camera with support for 3x optical zoom. Also announced is 30x digital zoom and the ability to record 8K video at 24 frames per second and an aspect ratio of 21: 9.
The smartphone supports Bluetooth 5.x, WiFi 6, NFC and Dual GPS (dual band). The device body is protected to IP68 standard. There’s also a traditional S Pen and stereo speakers tuned by AKG experts and support for Dolby Atmos surround sound.
Galaxy Note20 Ultra
This is the most top-end flagship. It received a curved 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Display with a frequency of 120 Hz, a resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels and the latest Gorilla Glass Victus. Above in the hole is the same 10 megapixel camera.
The processor is the same as in the basic version, but the amount of RAM has grown to 12 GB in the maximum version. The built-in memory can be installed 256 or 512 GB. Also, this version has a slot for microSD cards, unlike the Note20.
Battery capacity – 4 500 mAh. There is support for wireless charging, including reversible charging. From the included 25 W wired adapter, 50% charge is recovered in just 30 minutes.
The main camera includes a 108MP sensor (f / 1.8), a 12MP wide-angle module and a 12MP telephoto lens with 5x optical and 50x Super Resolution zoom. All this is complemented by optical stabilization, a laser depth sensor and an LED flash.
This model also features a brand new S Pen with a latency of just 9 milliseconds. He received support for five customizable gestures for smartphone control: “Back”, “Home”, “Recent apps”, “Smart selection” and “Screen recording”. Handwritten notes are automatically synced across different devices in the ecosystem, including tablets and PCs.
Also, Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra received support for the updated DeX mode, which allows you to connect to monitors, computers and TVs without any wires.
Availability of new products
Both models will go to Russian retail on August 21st. The prices are as follows:
