Rostrud intends to create a “smart” employment system

The Federal Service for Labor and Employment plans to create a “smart” recommendation service using artificial intelligence and Big Data processing and analysis technologies on the basis of the all-Russian job base “Work in Russia”, Vedomosti reports.

Tools will also be developed for analyzing the labor market, taking into account the movement of the labor force and different forms of employment. The budget in 2020 will amount to 147.5 million rubles. The service will offer applicants suitable vacancies, and employment services and employers – suitable candidates.

Rostrud proposes to include the development in the passport of the federal project “Artificial Intelligence”. The recommendation service will be part of the multi-functional platform “Work in Russia”, which in 2019-2024. will spend 831 million rubles. (according to the project “Digital Public Administration”, which is part of the “Digital Economy”). The platform will feature: labor market analytics, competency reference books, qualifications assessment functions, registration for internships. It is expected that by the beginning of 2025 the platform will be used by 4.5 million citizens.

Currently, the portal “Work in Russia” posted about 2.97 million resumes, registered 800,000 employers, 459,400 vacancies for 1.42 million jobs.
