by The Minister of Culture of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko said on his Facebook page that Netflix will shoot the comedy thriller The Last Mercenary in Ukraine with Jean-Claude Van Damme in the title role.
According to Tkachenko, the lion’s share of the filming will take place in Kiev, and will also be filmed in Paris. According to the plot, the events will unfold in France. The main actors include Jean-Claude Van Damme and Alban Ivanov.
The main responsible for some of the filming in Ukraine are the international film company Apple Tree and the domestic Star Media. Filming has already started and will last until autumn. Producers – Vlad Ryashin, Jean-Charles Levy and Olias Barco. The director is David Sharon and the director of photography is Thierry Arbogast.
