After talking about the current salaries of Ukrainian developers and testers, the DOU.UA resource published the final part of the study, in which he talked about how much the rest of IT specialists get. This section includes managers, designers, HR, sales and marketing specialists, as well as devops, sysadmins, etc.

Among the respondents to the general salary survey, such employees turned out to be 3,745 out of 12,419 of all respondents. This time, Customer Success Manager, Data Engineer and Product Owner were also added to the general list, but the Team Lead position was merged with Tech Lead and included in the section with developer salaries. All salaries are quoted in US dollars at the interbank rate, net – after taxes.

The sample of specialists of this profile is gender-balanced – 47% of women and 53% of men. If we analyze in the context of specialties, we can distinguish groups with the majority of women (91% in the category of HR professionals and 82% in the category of Technical Writers and Copywriters) and groups with the majority of men (these are more often technical specialties DBA / DevOps / Sysadmin – 95% of men , Data Engineers (85%) and HTML Coders (71%)). The youngest are marketing, designers and HR (median 27), the oldest are managers and DBA / DevOps / Sysadmin (30). The top 3 places of residence among IT specialists are Kiev (49%), Kharkiv (15%) and Lviv (12%).

The three largest groups of IT professionals by position are HR (18%), PM (13%), and Designer (11%). Over the past year, the share of specialists with up to 2 years of work experience has noticeably decreased – from 46% in June 2019 to 32% in June 2020. The majority of specialists with up to 2 years of experience are among Analysts (Data Science, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Research Engineers) and Other technical (HTML Coders, Data Engineers, BI Engineers and others) – the share is at the level of 42-43%. But the DBA / DevOps / Sysadmin group is the most experienced – the share of specialists with 6+ years of experience here is 43%.

The average salary for such IT professionals is $ 1400, which is $ 200 more compared to the December 2019 survey and $ 300 more than in June 2019. Compared to developer salaries, other IT professionals receive an average of $ 900 less.

Among the most common positions (100+ profiles), growth occurred for Business Analyst + $ 320, Data Science + $ 200, Designer + $ 148, and DevOps + $ 100. The highest salaries are received by the Director of Engineering / Program Director – $ 5500, Senior Project Manager / Program Manager – $ 4000 and Product Owner – $ 3150. HTML-Coders receive the least – $ 650.

Labor remuneration is expected to grow with an increase in work experience. So, on average, specialists with up to a year experience receive $ 540, 1-3 years – $ 1000, 4-6 years – $ 1700, and with more than 7 years of experience – $ 2800. The most received are the Director of Engineering / Program Director and Senior Project Manager / Program Manager with 7+ years of experience – $ 5770 and $ 4000, respectively. On average, the level of salaries in Kiev is $ 450 more than in Lviv, and $ 650 more than in Kharkov.
